I started listening to The Rural Woman Podcast last year and, it help fire my passion for getting my farm, live and on the market. I knew what I wanted, I had some idea how to do it, but I was letting my depression and the title of Mom hold me back. Well I'm here to tell you, dreams do come true, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and if there is a will there is a way.
Just go for it. I mean, make a plan, but then... Go for it. Why not? Take each failure and find the lesson. For myself it was just literally the fear of putting myself out there. I've always had someone above me, some sort of
boss, some one else to call the official shots. Now, with every decision I do consult Tom, my husband, but for the majority of everything its my call. I will say that some days I do still have fears of putting myself out there, risk is scary after all. But, I have come to realize if I write down my plan that I have in my head, and evaluate it, share it with a couple of close friends, then digest their feedback, generally it comes out that I am just being fearful again and its time to "jump"
I have my small daily, and weekly plans. I have bit bigger yearly plans. I find that keeping a journal or a text going to myself, of my
in the moment plans help keep me organized of all my day dreaming. I make lists of what is working and what is not working. What is causing me stress and what is bringing me joy. I do have many more plans for this site, and jumping on a few other platforms, but I am thinking I need to organize myself and all these thoughts a bit more before I do those things. I have such a love for raising my animals, processing food and teaching others. I think my big year plan is to find a way to continue my education in these things and then find a way to share it with all of you.
