July

How is it July already? We have been so busy here! Our firewood is already put away for next winter, and we are awaiting the phone call for hay. The corn is planted as well as much of the rest of the garden. Unfortunately its not nearly as big as we wanted it to be, but we have had a strange spring and many homesteaders experienced seed rot, as well as crops just being killed off by the weather. This season has been wet and hot, and not much in-between. We have spent more time in the pool this year than in the yard working. Another thing that happened very recently is that we received our cottage food permit! So now we can sell our baked goods and our water bath canned foods! I am going to work hard to get this website updated with our new chickens, and rabbits. I hope you are all doing well and have a great summer!
